Hey, Hi, Hello!

I'm Lauren, Owner and Designer at Kéfi Home Interiors. Seeing as how I usually take a deep dive with my clients - how they live, work, use their spaces, their likes and dislikes, preferences..etc, I figured it was only fair for me to divulge a little bit on myself.

After a 15-year career in Graphic Sourcing and Visual Merchandising & Design which has spanned globally, armed with BFA in Textile Design from East Carolina University, a driving passion for Interiors & a handful of friends and family turned clients, I decided to follow my instincts, throw caution to the wind and start Kéfi Home Interiors.

I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC and come from a family chalk-full of gifted artists and individuals with a keen eye for design. I like to think that my aesthetic was derived from my Yia Yia (greek for grandmother). She co-owned an Interior Design storefront here in Raleigh with her equally trendsetting sisters who were all true trailblazers of a more modern style. By definition, Kéfi is a Greek word which, when roughly translated means fun, joyfulness, amusement, mirth and cheer. Its a feeling in the soul, a connection to pure happiness. It also perfectly describes exactly how I want my interiors to feel.

With 4 busy children ranging from 1yr - 13yrs and an admitted inability to compromise function over form, I aim to create balanced, fuss-free spaces. Environments that classically beautiful & modern but built for entertaining, lounging, families, friends, and day-to-day living which sacrifice neither comfort nor style. Usually with a nod to mid-century modern design, always with a mix of old and new, and a curated and collected feel, I strive to infuse textured neutrals, integrated pops of color, warm woods, unexpected sculptural elements, a mix of hard wearing materials and hand selected art to create layered and dynamic spaces.

Operations manager (and sister extroidinare)

Hi!

I’m Megan, the Operations Manager here at Kéfi Home Interiors. Lauren and I are still trying to figure out what Operations Manager really means, but day-to-day I’m behind the scenes helping things run smoothly. With a BA in Communication Media and a minor in Journalism from NC State, I’ve always loved to help strategize, create, and take businesses to the next level digitally and personally. My journey thus far has covered 8 years in marketing, along with some freelance and editorial writing sprinkled in. Basically, I like to make things look and sound good. Luckily, that isn’t hard to do given the spaces Lauren creates. I know I'm biased because I'm her sister, but I'm serious - they're extraordinary.

If you stick around, you might not see me, but you may hear from me (and probably my 3-year-old and 1-year-old too, if we are on the phone). Either way, I’m always here to help – don't hesitate to reach out!
